The Earl of Lincoln first hunted the South Notts. County in 1677, thereafter, re-established in 1860 with Mr. John Chaworth-Musters.
Our two day a week pack meet on Mondays (Nottinghamshire) and Thursdays (Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire). Mondays are optional jumping days and include great open country woodland. Thursdays country includes lots of jumping with good pasture, stone walls, hedges and rails.
Our countryside boasts some of the most breathtaking scenery in the country.
The South Notts. is renowned for being a very friendly and sociable hunt. Most meets are from public houses and lawn meets. All visitors will be warmly welcomed!
Since the Hunting Act 2004, The South Notts. Hunt have hunted within the law.
